Have you ever felt fearful or anxious about your position?
You have no reason to.
No one is judging you, or watching your trade, except yourself. Who cares if your trade goes down and hits your stoploss? Or if it goes up and hits your profit target? The market certainly doesn’t.
Any feelings or emotions you have about your position are false. They are a construct of your own mind and stress chemicals developed to deal with dinosaurs. That’s all.
What matters is that you have a plan of action for your trade. That you have the kind of game plan that will allow you to react to all the different situations you might face. When you prepare like this, you will realize that nothing bad can happen. It’s all going to be OK.
Then what matters is that you follow your game plan. What does not matter is the outcome of any one trade.
Be free from judgement, worry, and any fear demons you might encounter from time to time. Instead, try to focus on planning and implementation. This will be what gets you results.
Next time you feel a negative emotion about one of your positions, just remember. There’s no dinosaur chasing you. There’s nobody peeking through the window, laughing. In fact, there’s nothing to be afraid of at all.
You may be alone, up against an uncertain market, but this is what you’ve trained for. Consult your plan, execute the steps, and you’ll be sure to achieve great results in the long run.
