The US$ continues to hover above 100 support. There have been just three breakout-style moves moves based on previously suggested charts but more still look to be brewing. Here is a summary.
GBP/NZD: This pair has given a breakout trade with this chart showing how the 4hr chart from my w/e post looked:
The 30 min chart shows the trend line breakout move delivered up to 140 pips:
USD/TRY: In my post from yesterday I suggested watching for any breakout move on the 30 min chart after the Asian session. A move eventually triggered during the European session and gave over 500 pips:
EUR/JPY: the Flag was noted in my w/e post and is still in play here but the 30 min chart shows that a great short-term trend trade was possible within this Flag:
E/J daily: showing the Flag still in play:
E/J 30 min: a profitable 30 min trade within the confines of the Flag:
Other Items to watch: Keep an eye on the following charts for any trend line breakout that evolves with increased momentum AND/OR for any shorter- term move on the 30 min chart that involves range-trade continuation:
GBP/AUD 4hr: This looks a bit Bull Flag-like:
Silver 4hr: any reversal to stay within the wedge could set up a decent 30 min chart trade down to the bottom trend line:
USD/TRY 4hr: we made it back down to the bottom of the wedge and near the daily support trend line so watch for any make or break from there:
USD/MXN 4hr: still wedge-bound:
EUR/AUD 4hr: still triangle-bound:
USD/JPY 4hr: new trend lines to watch here:
GBP/USD 4hr: looking a bit Bull Flag like with lots of GBP data to come this week:
NZD/USD 4hr: still in a Flag here:
AUD/JPY 4hr: a 6 week wedge here still:
AUD/USD 4hr: a breakout effort in the making?
EUR/USD 4hr: I’ve revised the trend lines a bit.
Gold: I posted yesterday that I’m watching the $1,200 level and price is back there now. Watch for any clear make or break from here:
