Stock Index Weekly Market Type Analysis 12/07/2015

Each week I review the current market type and fundamental considerations on a variety of stock and commodity indices. Market type analysis is critical to trade planning.

MT = Market Type ( See lesson 8 in the Share Investing Course for Smart People)

  • US Dow Jones – MT is sideways normal. Wait for now.
  • US S&P 500 – MT is sideways normal. Wait for now
  • US Nasdaq – MT is sideways normal. The double top mentioned previously has lead to further losses. Continue to look short.
  • US Russell 2000 – MT is bull normal. Continue to buy for now but with extreme caution.
  • UK 100 – MT is bear volatile.  Large bullish engulfing week last week so stay out for now. Normally this would be a buy but things are not looking good in talks with Greece this weekend. Need to wait and see how the market responds on Monday. A breakout and daily close  above the high of the week will signal a buy.
  • Europe  50 – MT is bull volatile. Same as with UK above.
  • Germany 30 – MT is bull volatile. Same as with UK above.
  • France 40 – MT is bull volatile. Same as with UK above.
